How Lookups Are Counted
ClearTrack bills strictly on lookups, not on consignments or shipments. Here is exactly how quota consumption works:
- Every GET request consumes 1 lookup: When your application calls
/v1/track/:carrier/:awb, it decrements your period lookup allowance by 1. - Cached hits count as lookups: Active in-transit tracking results are cached for 30 minutes, and terminal deliveries are cached permanently. Responses are returned in milliseconds; each query consumes 1 lookup.
- Re-tracking the same AWB: Querying the same tracking number across successive polling runs consumes 1 lookup per API request.
- No auto-renewals or overages: If your period allowance is exhausted before 30 days, subsequent requests return HTTP
429(plan_quota_exceeded) with aresets_attimestamp. You never receive unexpected overage bills.

What counts as a lookup when tracking shipments?
Every HTTP GET request to /v1/track/... consumes 1 lookup from your plan allowance, including cached responses and repeated lookups for the same consignment. Usage is measured strictly in lookups, never in distinct shipments.
Do unused lookups roll over to the next billing cycle?
No. Unused lookups do not roll over. When your 30-day period expires, when you renew, or when you switch plans mid-cycle, your period usage counter resets to zero and your new plan allowance applies. Any unused lookups from the previous cycle do not carry over.
How do renewals and mid-cycle plan upgrades work?
Renewing the same plan before expiry extends your validity by 30 days from your current end date without lost days, and resets your lookups used to zero. If you upgrade or switch plans mid-cycle, the new plan takes effect immediately and starts a fresh 30-day period; unused lookups from the prior plan are lost.
Are taxes and GST included in the listed prices?
Yes. All listed plan prices are inclusive of 18% GST. A compliant GST tax invoice with your company GSTIN is provided for every payment.
Do plans require a recurring credit card auto-debit mandate?
No. All plans are prepaid. Before your 30-day period expires, you receive a secure manual Razorpay payment link. There are zero auto-debit mandates or unexpected renewal charges.
